Also known as Elephant's Ears, this plant contains sharp, insoluble calcium oxalate crystals. Chewing on any part of the plant releases these crystals, causing an immediate burning sensation, intense pain and swelling of the mouth, drooling, and difficulty swallowing.

Keep this plant completely out of reach of all pets. If ingestion occurs, rinse the cat's mouth with milk or water and contact your veterinarian immediately. Watch for signs of respiratory distress from swelling.
